H. H. West posing with the limit of golden trout in camp, Inyo County, 1913
- Description:
- An out-of-focus photograph of H. H. West posing with trout in the Smith-West tour party's camp near Cottonwood Creek. H. H. West stands left-of-center and faces towards the camera. He holds up a stick in front of him with both hands. Several golden trout hang vertically from the stick. Rocks sit piled behind H. H. on the left. They retain an outcrop of trees that stretches behind H. H. A bench stands behind and to the left of H. H. and a camp dining table stands behind and to the right of him. A woman stands behind H. H. and to the left of the dining table in the background. She looks to the camera and rests her hands to her hips. Cooking gear is strewn about the area; pots sit on the rocks at left and near the table at right. Trees occupy the near distance.
