Text from newspaper caption: RELIEF PROGRAM ARTISTS CATCH SPIRIT OF WEST COAST IN PAINTINGS OF CALIFORNIA SCENES Some of the paintings by artists given work by the County Relief Administration will be on exhibition during the next three weeks at 741 South Flower street. This project is providing financial aid for about sixty artists, and their production is of high value and quality, N. H. Partridge, supervisor, asserts. The picture on the left shows Mildred Manta exhibiting A Plains Indian by Harold Lehman of Los Angeles and Sunset Pastoral by Barbara Stevenson of Canoga Park. On the right is a water color by Milfred Zornes of Claremont showing a Lone Palm and a bit of civic center.
