- Photograph, from left to right, of Dr. Bim Smith and Agnes Whitaker sitting at the West's dining table during a birthday dinner for Bim Smith and H. H. West. Dr. Bim Smith and Agnes Whitaker sit on the far side of the table in the near distance at center. They are viewed level with the top of the table. Bim sits at left and looks towards the camera. A lit birthday cake sits in front of him on the table. To the right, Agnes Whitaker dons a top hat and turns to look to Bim at left. Glasses and flatware sit atop the table. A tablecloth drapes over the front edge of the table in the foreground. Two people sit on the near side of the table. They are in partial view and each sits along one of the side edges of the image, creating a natural frame. They appear to face towards center. In the background, a bookshelf stands behind and to the left of Bim Smith and a wide doorway leads into another room behind Agnes.
