Text from negative sleeve: 1762. Los Angeles, Calif. 240 South Griffin Ave. 1898. 1. A view of the house under the pepper tree. 2. 3. 4. Guy West worked at Acaponeta Mexico for the Lacy Brothers in their mine. Was gone about a year. When he came home he brot [sic] mother a parrot. She used to put it out in the back yard and let it talk to itself. All it could say was "Polly wants a cracker," "Tocolapata," and "Popoceeto." 3 pictures of the parrot.
