- Photograph of H. H. West fishing in the San Gabriel River from from atop a rock. At left, rocks line the right bank of the river along the left edge of the image. West stands atop a rock that juts out of the river. He is in profile, facing right, and holds a fishing rod out in front of him to the right. Behind him, tall grasses stand beyond the rocky river bank. In the far distance, a mountain rises behind H. H. and the river.
