- An underexposed photograph of someone in H. H. West's camping party standing over the camp stove and filling their plate with food. The person stands in shadow, left-of-center. They face the camera but stand hunched over. One hand reaches down towards a pot and the other holds a plate. The stove sits on the ground to the left of him. Tables stand in a row across the image behind him. Dining utensils sit on the tables. A pipe or branch hovers over the tables as it stretches across the image. Trees line the back side of their campsite. Beyond the trees, either a meadow or a lake sits in the background.
