The photographer stands behind spectators standing on the south side of East Colorado Boulevard. The spectators nearest to the photographer have their backs towards the camera. On the opposite side of the road, spectators stand in front of Bard's Colorado Theater. The marquis reads, "BARD'S C[...]S LAUGHTON AND CAROLE LOMBARD [T]HEY KNEW WHAT THEY WANTED [GA]RY COOPER 'THE WESTERNER' BANK SPIN TOTALING 1000."
