- Text from negative sleeve: 573. Grand Canyon trip, May 1942. Just after crossing the Navajo bridge at Marble canyon we came to the Cliff Dwellers Lodge. A photo of the Lodge. I was going back to it but a big German Police dog started toward me from the Lodge so I went to the car. You can see the dog down the road. After going a short ways we saw a big ad on the rock, and I had Mertie get out of the car and have her photo taken.
