The Alhambra walk-up apartment (2523 Birch Street) shared by William Edward Hickman, his mother Eva and sister Mary.
Hickman was convicted for the murder of pharmacist C. Ivy Toms during the commission of a robbery, and for the kidnap and murder of 12-year-old Marion Parker. Hickman was executed at San Quentin on October 19, 1928.
