Steintorf stands at a table beside a seated Hart, his arms behind his back. The men sit at a table covered with a white cloth and various dining utensils. There is a pennant on the wall behind them that says : EXCHANGE CLUB LOS ANGELES UNITY FOR SERVICE NATIONAL.
Steintorf states that the United States sells more good to Japan than we buy from Japan. Japan is a big buyer of raw materials, heavy machinery and other equipment. The sales have decreased dramatically with the onset of the Great Depression.
