Alma Richards engaged in a discus throw. A man in a suit walking on a track and a grandstand are visible behind him.
Alma Richards was the high jump gold medalist in the 1912 Olympics. During his student years at Brigham Young University, Cornell University, Stanford University and the University of Southern California (where he ultimately earned a law degree), he continued to compete in track athletics, becoming a decathlete as well.
