Nearly 500 persons attended the dedication of the new park. Father Charles Burns carried out the ceremony of "blessing the house." Patriotic and historical organizations took part in the formal dedication outside the new structure of the clubhouse center. People were dressed in early Californian attire.

A short distance behind her a woman in a similar dress is seen carrying another board covered in a white cloth with a bowl on top. A woman dressed in black holds a candle beside her and more people are seen crowded behind them, some in similar style of dress and some holding musical instruments. None of the individuals are specifically identified.
