Walter Hagen (back turned away from camera) was a professional golfer in the Los Angeles area. His professional achievements still hold relevance today with the third most major victories (behind Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods).
The photograph was probably taken sometime in 1931 during the 4th annual Pasadena $4000 Open tournament.
