A photograph of the same cabin appears with the article, "THREE DIE IN SEA LASHED BY RETREATING STORM: Santa Monica Rescue Efforts Fail; Deluge Sweeps Canyon Colony; More Bridges Washed Out," Los Angeles Times, 09 Apr. 1926: A1
A different photograph of the same cabin carries the newspaper caption, "Boulders Weighing Tons were Hurled Through Cabin at Left by the Torrent," Los Angeles Times, 09 Apr. 1926: A12
A downed tree truck extends across the bottom edge. Beyond it, a flood-damaged cabin stretches across the mid-ground. It is viewed at an angle from the front and the side, facing left. A sign, still hanging, over the front of the house reads, "Millswood." The cabin lacks its all its front and some of its side exterior walls. A tree trunk lies atop the roof, collapsing it. Along the right side of the cabin, two boulders on the ground lie partially within the cabin. Between the boulders, a man stands and looks to the camera. A seemingly undamaged dwelling stands in the background at center.
A different photograph of the same cabin appears as part of the photo spread titled, "Little Santa Anita Canyon Flood Victim; Traffic Bridges Out," Los Angeles Times, 09 Apr. 1926: A12
