The float entered by the city of Laguna Beach features an artist (Frank Cuprien) working on a large floral canvas as 3 mermaids gaze at the spectators from the front of the float (June Storey, Phyllis Jones and Nevalle Anne Ropp). The float is seen at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd.
The theme of the 1935 forty-sixth annual Rose Parade was "Golden Legends."
