The theme of the 1935 forty-sixth annual Rose Parade was "Golden Legends."
View of Captain William Banning's 4-seated coach, used by the Bannings in the 1890's on the mainland and on Santa Catalina Island, entered by the city of Arcadia. The coach is pulled by 4 horses and driven by Ray Steele who is accompanied by Albert L. Daniels, Mrs. August Kaskel, Mrs. Louis T. McLean, Mrs Grant Corby, Mrs. Charles Wiley, Mr. and Mrs. Beanston, Mrs. Charles Beery and Mrs. James Griffiths. The coach was photographed at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd. with the Goodhue Flagpole in the upper right corner of the image.
