Description: The theme of the 1934 Rose Parade was: Tales of the Seven Seas. It rained during the parade that year.
The "Little America" float shows the Byrd expedition to the Antarctic, with houses, airplanes on a field and penguins watching a freighter being unloaded. The float was entered by the city of Glendale and is seen at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd.
