The statue of Prometheus Bringing Fire to Earth in Los Angeles' downtown Westlake Park (now MacArthur Park).
Icelandic sculptor Nina Saemundsson crafted the statue in 1935 under Los Angeles' City Parks board's Public Works of Art Project. Saemundssen also sculpted a statue of Leif Erikson for Los Angeles' Griffith Park.
