Description: Dr. Raymond L. Carey holds a honeybee with a forceps, allowing it to sting the patient’s shoulder. Dr. Carey’s laboratory in Hollywood was one of a half dozen places in the world that used honeybee venom to treat arthritis. One of the causes of arthritis is a lack of oxidation which is stimulated by bee venom.
