- Undersheriff Eugene Biscailuz was in charge of the Indian Committee for the Los Angeles gathering of 'Nobles of the Mystic Shrine.' In this image, wearing a Shriner's hat, he greets Navajo Indians at a train station. On the left is Tall Scout (aka Slau-ee-Nez), a Navajo who had worked as a scout and tracker for the U. S. Army. On his right is a Navajo man named Willow Fence. On the far left holding a blanket is B. I. Staples, a white man who joined the Navajo tribe in 1923.
