But the truth is, anyone can get HIV infection if they are sharing drug needles and syringes or having sex with an infected person. Call your State of local AIDS hotline. Or call the National AIDS Hotline at 1-800-342-AIDS. Call 1-800-243-7889 (TTY) for deaf access. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. America Responds to AIDS.
